The treatment creates small microchannels in the skin that stimulate the body’s healing response to repair damaged skin, boost collagen growth, and rejuvenate the skin’s overall appearance.

An Opus treatment at Elan Med Spa & Clinic is safe and very well tolerated. While you relax in a private treatment room, we will clean the skin to be treated. Then a topical numbing cream is applied to ensure your comfort throughout the entire procedure. The Opus handpiece is moved across your skin at precise points, creating a “micro-dot” pattern. Depending on your treatment plan, the plasma can be dialed in for a light treatment, similar to a chemical peel, or a deeper treatment that is like a laser treatment. Treatment sessions typically last about 15 – 45 minutes. There is little to no downtime, with most experiencing minor redness and swelling for a few days. Deeper treatments may require more healing time.
